“All of this stuff is diet related, and the crisis is starting in infancy right at the baby food aisle. Consumers see what’s available for their babies in the aisle and think that’s what babies need – fruit, some vegetables, no protein or fat. What was really interesting was how universal the science was. Everyone was clear that babies needed meat. Animal products were very important first foods for babies. Babies need fat. The calories from breast milk are half fat. It also said sugar was a real problem - that it was inflammatory and should be limited."

ReGen Media:

We were light on news stories this week, so we wanted to highlight some recently released, captivating media pieces from our friends!

  • 🌎 Kiss The Ground’s “The Possibilities of Regeneration” explores the origins of regenerative agriculture, offering a story that is both new and ancient in its roots. Co-written and narrated by Lyla June Johnston, an Indigenous public speaker, artist, scholar, and community organizer, the film takes a holistic approach to regenerative stewardship, expanding the idea of regeneration beyond the principles popularized in the relatively young regenerative agriculture movement.

  • 🐮 Savory Institute’s “What Is Holistic Management?” highlights the ecological imperative of grazing animals and how we can manage them regeneratively. Holistic Management gives us the power to regenerate grasslands from an ecological, economic, and social perspective.
